Biography

 

Cecilie grew up in Biri, Oppland. She got her education at the Norwegian Academy of Music where she will complete the prestigious diploma course spring 2012, a program that has not accepted a singer in 6 years. Today she is a soprano at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet.

In 2006 she made her debut with the role of Countess in The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart under the direction of conductor Fani Jooste, Potchefstroom, in South Africa. Last autuum she did the leading role in Lera Auerbachs opera “The Blind”.

Cecilie has performed as lead singer with, among others the Oslo symphonic orcestra, Norwegian Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, University of Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and Gjøvik Symphony Orchestra. She has worked with conductors such as Per Kristian Skalstad, Grethe Pedersen and Andrew Manze.

Cecilie has participated at a master class in Spain with the world famous opera singer Montserrat Caballé and received excellent feedback for her singing. She has also participated in masterclasses with Trish McCaffrey, Susanna Eken, Maestro Antonio Carangelo, Christen Stubbe Teglbjærg, Maria Teresa Uribe and Anne Margrethe Dahl and others.

Cecilie has a wide repertoire and is a sought after concert singer.
